She began her professional journey in education, serving students and families across general education, special education, and English-language learning. Those years shaped more than her career. They shaped how she communicates, how carefully she listens, and how strongly she believes that people make better decisions when they truly understand their options. As a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, educator, and entrepreneur, Cassandra understands that legacy is not an abstract financial idea. It is reflected in how we care for the people we love, protect what we have worked to build, prepare for life’s transitions, and create a stronger starting point for the next generation. Her professional experience has also included business ownership and real estate, giving her a practical understanding of the responsibilities families and entrepreneurs carry every day. She knows what it means to build something, experience change, reassess the plan, and keep moving forward with intention. After receiving her Texas insurance license in 2018 while still teaching full time, Cassandra gradually began working in insurance. She recognized that many people were being presented with products before anyone had taken the time to understand their complete situation. Families were making decisions about insurance, homeownership, retirement, business, and legacy separately, even though those decisions often affect one another. That realization led her to create Legacy Builders F.O.E. Life. ## Why Legacy Builders Exists Legacy Builders F.O.E. Life is an independent, woman-owned and minority-owned life insurance and legacy strategy practice based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. We help individuals, families, and business owners understand how the financial decisions in their lives connect so they can protect what matters now while preparing intentionally for what comes next. Our clients come from different backgrounds, professions, communities, and stages of life. Some are raising children or purchasing homes. Some are building businesses, caring for aging parents, or preparing for retirement. Others are beginning to think seriously about what they want to leave behind and how they want their families to experience that transition. Wherever the conversation begins, we meet people there. Because we operate independently, we can evaluate options from multiple insurance carriers we represent. We explain the differences, discuss the trade-offs, and help each client determine what fits their needs, priorities, and budget. We listen before recommending.
